Hi, I’m Clara!
I am a private practice therapist who offers consultation services to to help therapy private practices with HIPAA compliance. I am independently licensed as a counselor in multiple states and have an Ed.S. degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have 8+ years of experience working in a group private practice setting in clinical, supervisory, and administrative roles, and have owned my solo practice since 2022.
Upon starting my own practice, I found there to be a lack of accessible information for mental health professionals on how to set up a HIPAA-compliant practice. I couldn’t find any resources to do-it-yourself and the HIPAA setup packages I discovered were either cost-prohibitive, geared towards large corporations, or sketchy. I decided to do extensive research myself and create the HIPAA materials for my practice that I couldn’t find. I am now very experienced with HIPAA regulations, compliance, and building security policies and procedures for small private practices. I consult with other HIPAA specialists and remain updated on HIPAA laws and regulations to build accessible materials for other practice owners. I hope to be a helpful resource for those who are looking for the same guidance I was seeking.
